Afripods Teams Up With Naija Pod Hub

Afripods, a leading podcast platform on the continent with claims to be “the easiest way to host, promote and listen to African podcasts” teams up with Naija Podhub “the podcasting community for all Nigerian Podcasters.”

With this partnership, Afripods seeks to provide a home for Nigerian podcasters and Naija Podhub will connect the community with the monthly virtual events of which Afripods will be a sponsor and contributor.

Kevin Y. Brown, CCO and Head of Strategy at Afripods says “a partnership with Naija Podhub is a key step in making sure that African creators take up as much space as possible and get paid for their creative genius”.

One hopes this union will birth the amplification of original, authentic, informative and entertaining Nigerian stories to be enjoyed by Africans on the continent and abroad.

Afripods: How podcasts are taking over the African narrative

Afripods was also recently spotlighted in Kenya’s leading epaper, The Nation. CEO, Molly Jensen says that “global trends show that podcasts are going to take off in Africa, so it makes sense that podcasts would be a natural fit for a continent full of storytellers.” Read more

One Day At A Time: Chronicles Of A Cancer Survivor

In 2017, Uche Agbai announced he had cancer. In various interviews, the former City 105.1 FM and HOT 93.3 FM OAP, narrated how a seemingly ordinary ear infection led to the discovery of a tumour growing inside his nasal region.

In a podcast series titled, One Day At A Time, Uche narrates his ordeal and medical journey to recovery.

In it, he talks about coming close to taking his own life.

When asked why he embarked on a podcast series to share his story, he says, “This has been very difficult to do, and I hope someone can learn or not learn something from it.”

One Day At A Time is produced by Titilayo Oyinsan, in partnership with Africa Business Radio and features guests such as former colleagues, Oscar Oyinsan, Quincy Jones [not the music legend] and Melody Hassan.
