  • On March 26, 2022, The Listening Sessions, a podcast hosted by Music Businessman, Obinna Agwu, made its debut on Nigerian radio. It aired at 4 pm local time on Lagos Talks 91.3FM. The episode featured was the conversation with Hip Hop artist IllBliss. It received rave reviews including this one from a fan who missed a 4 o’clock appointment to stay tuned!

  • In an 84-page presentation for podcast publishers produced by YouTube, and sent to Podnews, the company plans to ingest podcast RSS feeds directly, with a new podcasts homepage to be at (e never begin work yet). YouTube will also feature audio ads and possibly, split the revenue with publishers.   • Audio content production studio Audio Up signs a publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) that will identify and sign songwriters to create original music for the company’s stable of podcasts. >>> Read more
  • Spotify has been working with USC and other top-tier universities to encourage and inspire students to enter podcasting, as well as help them get training, mentorship and professional development. The USC now offers a Podcast Minor course, designed to give students a grounding in the history, theory, production and business of podcasting.
